11/2009: high integrated ASCOT teststands for premium class car seats |
|
In the future even bigger scope of testing will be possible at the end of line of premium car seat production - a fully automized test sequence with the following test steps
- all seat adjustments inclusive vision system based direction detection
- all ignition circuits with 4-wire measurement
- comfort functions (partly supported with vision system) like lumbar, active seat, climate function
- seat belt reminder tests with automatic load apply
guarantees optimized product quality at the end of seat production line.

10/2009: ASCOT Vision with new seat outline inspection available
The youngest sprout of the ASCOT-Vision family went online. Now seat outlines can be measured with a resolution < 0.5 mm and compared to standard outlines of sample seats.
A few weeks ago we started checking seats of the new Audi A8 fully automatically for dimensional accuracy of their covers as well as the ways of the seat and backrest width adjusters at the Faurecia plant in Neuenstadt.
Also a collision detection of the seat in relation to car coordinates is done by this system.
